The focus of this book is to enhance organizational capabilities to promote effective and equitable policy making. The systems that benefit are varied too – Governance, Boards, Human Resources, Management, Staff and Stakeholders.
This guide is a practical resource to the various policy platform theorem, it has Robyn Minty’s 40 years of work experience woven throughout, drawing on broader resources that she herself have applied. An important aspect of policy (and program) development is how to bring a gender and culturally diverse lens to the work; this has been explored in detail.
Introducing key areas such as planning, formulation and evaluation, emphasizes their importance to be considered in relation to, and building upon, one another. Thus, principles and themes discussed in the following pages, recognize the constant interaction between these areas.
